What to do if your vehicle has been impounded or involved in an accident and brought to a Reliable Towing Storage facility?

Vehicles may be redeemed at any time with proper documentation

 Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm. Except major holidays. After business hours vehicle releases are by appointment only and subject to additional after hours gate fee.

If your vehicle has been involved in accident

  1. Immediately notify your insurance company that an accident has occurred and that your vehicle at our storage facility and it is accruing storage on a daily basis.
  2. Please contact us to make an appointment to redeem your belongings from your vehicle and sign release to your insurance company
  3. You must be the registered owner or have explicit written permission from the registered owner to redeem any property inside of vehicle
  4. Provide us with a valid government issued photo ID

*Due to insurance requirements any parts on cars that are screwed/bolted on cannot be removed. This includes wheels, tires, radios, etc. Please contact your insurance company if you have any questions regarding this.*

 

 

If you wish to redeem your vehicle or belongings from impoundment you must:

  1. be the current registered owner or have explicit written permission from registered owner  
  2. Provide copy of valid (not expired)  government issued photo ID, if you are driving your vehicle off our lot you must have a valid driver's license or have someone to drive vehicle with a valid driver’s license
  3. If the vehicle is not registered in your name must provide signed valid State Issued Title releasing interest from current registered owner and bill of sale. (Idaho law requires you to title a vehicle within 30 days after the purchase date) (Washington State Law requires,  A person who has recently acquired a vehicle by purchase, exchange, gift, lease, inheritance, or legal action shall apply to the department, county auditor or other agent, or subagent appointed by the director for a new certificate of title within fifteen days of delivery of the vehicle)
  4. Pay all towing/recovery/storage fees, no cars are released until payment is made in full. Cash, Debit and all major credit cards are accepted as forms of payment. Credit/Debit card payments cannot be taken over the phone and the cardholder must be present with a valid photo ID matching the name on the card.

 

If you received a notice from us that your vehicle has been impounded and you no longer own this vehicle, this means that a notice of sale was never received at the appropriate State Department of Licensing, YOU ARE STILL FINANCIALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE TOWING AND STORAGE FEES THAT HAVE OCCURRED, please contact our offices directly to discuss this further.
